Requirements

The Facility Engineer will work in a multi-disciplined team environment with primary responsibility for day to day support of facilities and superior uptime of production data center electrical environments and the design production of electrical documents. Working both independently and with teams, the electrical engineer will design, and produce documents for facility and data center projects.

Candidate will provide the following skills:
·Self starter with good communication skills.
·Extensive knowledge pertaining to the day to day support of power distribution 480V, 3-phase and 60 Hz systems.
·Participate with the initial electrical design approach for major phases of large facility type projects.
·Overall responsibility for the electrical engineering work on facilities and projects.
·Scheduling, planning, conducting and coordinating electrical work on facilities.
·Coordinating activities with City, State and County officials and familiarity with NEC and IEEE standards.
·Serving as a liaison between clients and agencies, subcontractors and design teams.
·Reviewing plans and preparing or reviewing technical specifications, contract documents and estimates.
·Participate with the electrical engineering discipline in the office.
·Participate in design and day to day support of datacenters involving: Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS Systems), Power Generators, Switch Gear, etc.
·Provide electrical technical leadership on a wide range of mission critical projects in production data centers.
·Fostering and coaching the team technically while facilitating professional development.

Required skills:
·Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
·Two or more years of progressive design experience, and the ability to independently design electrical power and lighting systems.
·The ideal candidate will have thorough knowledge of power systems, generators and UPS’s.
