Requirements

Acxiom Corporation is seeking a Systems SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) for our Central Arkansas location to perform database administration across multiple environments on small to VLDB (TB+). Candidate will be expected to interface with multiple clients and provide superior technical expertise (thought leadership) in new/advanced features, architecture design, performance tuning, capacity planning and troubleshooting. Candidate will need to author documentation and stream line/standardize processes. Candidate will need to teach, coach and mentor less experienced DBA’s. Must also be willing to cross-train and support Sybase and be a member of an on-call rotation.

Required Skills:
*7+ years of SQL Server Systems DBA experience on all components and tools associated with SQL 2000/2005.
*Significant experience with HA implementation and maintenance (e.g. Clustering and Replication).
*Significant experience with DR solutions (e.g. log shipping, mirroring, BCV splits, etc.).
*Significant experience with systems physical layouts and designs (partitioning and SAN disk design).
*Proven ability in project management, capacity planning, performance tuning and troubleshooting.
*Routine installation, upgrades, patching and maintenance.
*Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
*Self-motivated and able to work independently.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*Ability to teach junior DBA’s.
*High level knowledge of Windows and Windows security and how they affects SQL Server.
*Experience SQL 6.5, 7, 2008.
*Experience with DTS and SSIS.
*Experience with Premier Support, TechNet and other Microsoft resources.
*Experience working with CA tools.
*Experience with Veritas Net Backup.
*Experience with Idera tools.
*Knowledge of ITL and other IT management processes.

Nice to Have Skills:
*Experience with Sybase / Sybase IQ (Windows and Unix).
*Experience working with BMC/HP tools.
*Experience with Quest LiteSpeed.
*Knowledge of SAS70 and other auditing processes.
